Large multinational engineering firm use english as a corporate language

As English is the ‘official language’ of engineering, they invest significantly (using its own training centre) in developing the English language skills of apprentices, trainees, engineers and office staff, while also upgrading the language ability of its technical supervisors through courses and examinations.

We undertook significant testing in order to adapt to the needs of staff needs, and the commercial environment in which they work. This process helped increase confidence in employees. However due to time conflicts many were not able to complete their training. We introduced individual training plans to spot improve and coach each individual needs. Each participant had an individual plan which can be tailored to meet specific needs, and which delivers immediate results, in a course which included simulations of real-life situations to give students the skill set necessary.

It allowed us to conduct training courses to upgrade the English level of course attendees, and then provide an examination at the conclusion of the course.
